With a 22 year career in the Royal Marines, I was working abroad in 2014 when I suffered a stroke. My recovery led me to CrossFit and by 2018 I was qualified at Level 1 CrossFit and Level 1 British Weightlifting. I then continued in fitness education with Precision Nutrition.
The understanding and science within the fitness realm are constantly evolving, so continued education is an essential aspect of personal and professional development. After my nutrition qualification, I started studying and understanding female fitness, as 75% of PT clients are female. As a professional coach, if you are not educating yourself in this regard, then you are doing your female client base a huge disservice.
I believe that everyone should be chasing strength gains, and understanding how nutrition plays a vital role to their overall health and wellbeing.
